Kenyan innovator Shannyce Wambui has been selected by Natwest Bank to participate in scheme to empower women entrepreneurs.
Ms Wambui created Easy Hang, a range of sustainable hangers and is looking for financial support through crowdfunding which NatWest will supplement to help fund the business
Her work and campaign can be found at www.easyhang.co The Kenya High Commission London is supportive of Kenyan innovators. High Commissioner Manoah Esipisu said: "I urge Kenyans and friends of Kenya to support Ms Wambui. We must support Kenyan talent."
Meantime, Amb. Esipisu met 25 Kenyan Chevening scholars - studying across the United Kingdom - who called on him in London.
The graduate students were delighted by their interaction.
"Chevening 2019 cohort was hosted by the Kenya's High Commissioner to the UK @MEsipisu in London. Take home message was invaluable," gushed Patience Nyange, who is at Cardiff.
"The food: nyama choma, chapati & pilau was a nostalgic experience of Kenya’s best. The drinks were definitely enough for everyone."
Education Attaché, Mrs. Dorothy Kamwilu, urged the students to look out for each other’s well- being and ensure to check on their neighbours and younger students' from time to time.
