Each applicant must appear in person at the High Commission for biometrics capture.
Form Reg. 136C (click to download) MUST be dully filled before coming to the High Commission.
Married ladies who wish to change their names, both husband and wife must be present at the time of application submission.
Applicants are required to bring two (2) passport size photographs recently taken on a white background.
Holders of first-generation identity cards (the big size) are considered first time applicants.
Payment by Card or Postal order of UK £30.00 payable to Kenya High Commission.
Application submission is strictly by appointment only.
Processing of IDs takes approximately eight -twelve weeks.
Collection of IDs is strictly only via postal services.
Applicants are advised to provide at the time of application, a secure, registered and trackable self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage stamps for the dispatch of their critical documents. The envelope should have sufficient return postage and clearly indicates full names and postcode of the applicant.
All foreign documents to be certified and stamped by a Notary, Solicitor, Commissioner for oaths
Any document in a language other than English MUST be translated and certified as a true translation by the issuing authority or representative Embassy.
