Regaining Kenya citizenship is done by a person who was a citizen of Kenya by birth and who ceased to be a citizen of Kenya because he or she acquired the citizenship of another country before 27th August, 2010.

An application for a passport CANNOT be submitted concurrently with an application to Regain Kenya citizenship. A passport will be accepted and processed

For those who wish that their passports be sent to them by post, provide A certified self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage stamps and recorded for the return of your passport(s). The envelope should have sufficient return postage. The Kenya High Commission, London shall not be liable for any damage/loss that may be occasioned by posting of any individual passport.

Please note that applications will be received at the Mission strictly on appointment basis. All applicants will be expected to select an appointment date and time as will be available at the time of submitting applications on the E-Citizen portal and/or the Mission’s website.

Requirements to apply to regain Kenyan Citizenship
Dully filled application Form
Two passport size photographs
Two copies of Naturalization Certificate
Two copies of applicant’s Kenyan Passport
Two copies of applicants Foreign Passport
Two copies of applicants Birth Certificate
Two copies of parents’ ID/Passport copy
Two copies of documentary proof for changed names
Two copies of any other necessary support document
