The re-launch of the UBA in London provides an opportunity for the diaspora to access credit for investments

On 28th February 2019, the United Bank of Africa organized a reception at the Shangri-La Hotel in London. The objective of the event was to re-launch the UBA in the United Kingdom.

UBA has over seventy years of providing banking operations dating back to 1948. It has twenty African subsidiaries including in Kenya, contributing to about 20% of the Group’s balance sheet, with a target of contributing 50%. The bank aims at facilitating an inter–and-intra-African trade and becoming the pivot for the inflow of investment capital into the continent.

The re-launch of the UBA in London will provide an opportunity for the Kenyan diaspora in the United Kingdom to access credit for investment thereby enhancing their integration and contribution to the national development agenda. Further, the bank will be instrumental in supporting small and medium term enterprises exports  into the UK.

H.E. Manoah Esipisu MBS, High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to the United Kingdom was also in attendance.
