Team Kenya Shine at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London

The Kenya Team that participated in the just concluded IAAF World Championships in London performed extremely well despite the tough competition to finish number two on the world medal table after the USA.  The team scooped 5, 2, and 4 Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively to beat other athletic super powers like South Africa, France, China, Great Britain & Northern Ireland and Ethiopia.

Kenya Medallists were as follows;

Gold: Faith Chepngetich KIPYEGON (1500 Metres), Geoffrey Kipkorir KIRUI (Marathon), Hellen Onsando OBIRI (5000 Metres), Elijah Motonei MANANGOI (1500 Metres), and Conseslus KIPRUTO (3000 Metres Steeplechase).

Silver: Timothy CHERUIYOT (1500 Metres) and Edna Ngeringwony KIPLAGAT (Marathon)

Bronze: Paul Kipngetich TANUI (10,000 Metres), Kipyegon BETT (800 Metres), Agnes Jebet TIROP (10,000 Metres) and Hyvin Kiyeng JEPKEMOI (3000 Metres Steeplechase)
