The Kenya Senate delegation comprising of Hon. Sen. Kenneth Lusaka, the Speaker of the Senate and the group leader; Hon. Sen. Kipchumba Murkomen, the Senate Majority Leader; Hon. Sen. Moses Wetangula, the Senate Minority leader; Hon. Sen. Susan Kihika, the Majority Whip; Mr. Jeremiah Nyengenye, the Clerk of the Senate, and officers from the Senate of Kenya is in an official visit to London to meet with their UK counterparts in the House of Lords and House of Commons.
The group held meetings with Lord Fowler, the Lord Speaker; Hon. Mark Spencer MP, Vice Chamberlain of HM Household (Government Whip) & Ms. Kate Wilson, Private Secretary to the Government Chief Whip; the Hon. Nick Brown MP, Opposition Chief Whip; Hon. Valerie Vaz MP, Shadow Leader of the House; Mr. James Davies, Clerk of the Backbench Business Committee, and Mr. Matthew Hamlyn, Head of the Overseas Office.
While in London, the delegation also attended a dinner that was hosted by the High Commissioner of Kenya to the United Kingdom H.E Lazarus Amayo and the staff of the High Commission at the residence of the Head of Mission.
