It is with great pleasure that I present the Kenya High Commission Service Charter. This charter reaffirms our commitment to setting high standards of service delivery in promoting Kenya’s national interests and image, strengthening economic diplomacy, enriching peace and environmental diplomacy and providing consular services.
The Service Charter is based on the Kenya Vision 2030, Ministry’s current Strategic Plan, the Ministerial Service Charter and the Foreign Policy Document. It is aimed at facilitating the Mission’s contribution to the achievement of Kenya’s Foreign Policy objectives particularly in respect to the countries of accreditation.
This Service charter becomes our social contract with our clients who inter alia include the Public and private sectors of Kenya and respectively those of the countries of accreditation. It is envisaged that it will serve as a guide to our customers on the services we provide and the standards expected of us as well as a gauge to measure our performance from the custom- ers point of view.
The High Commission is committed to upholding the principles of service and functional accountability and performance monitoring. This Service Charter is one way we can be more accountable to our stakeholders. We will use the feedback we receive and our own monitoring of performance to help ensure that we meet our service standards.
We invite comments, suggestions and concerns on how to best improve our services and enable us to deliver quality and timely service through the High Commission’s website.
H.E. Mr. Lazarus Amayo
The High Commissioner of Kenya to the United Kingdom
