On February 23, 2016 The Kenya High Commission hosted a Kenya Society presentation of Challenge Aid Founder Mr. Iestyn Thomas on the work by the organisation in Kenya through their “Schools of Hope” initiative.
Schools of Hope” operate after school hours, giving children educational support by providing desks, chairs, lighting and most importantly a good supply of up-to-date text books with responsible supervision in a safe and conducive learning environment. So far twenty-three “Schools of Hope” (SoH) have been built with six plus in the process of being established.
In attendance at the event was the High Commissioner H.E Lazarus Amayo, Ag. Deptuy Head of Mission Mrs. Grace Cerere, Kenya Society President Mr. Patrick Orr, home-based officers of the Mission and members of the Kenya Society.
