KENYA HOSTS IMO COUNCIL DELEGATES TO AN EVENING RECEPTION

On Tuesday 25th July, 2017 Kenya hosted representatives of International Maritime Organisation (IMO) members to an evening reception on the occasion of Kenya’s candidature for re-election to the IMO Council under Category C at the IMO Headquarters in London.

The Kenya delegation was led by Principal Secretaries Mrs. Nancy Karigithu, State Department of Maritime and Shipping Affairs and Prof. Paul Maringa Mwangi, State Department for Public Works both from Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development and Mrs. Grace Cerere, Deputy Head of Mission at the Kenya High Commission.

The Government of the Republic of Kenya is seeking to be re-elected to the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Council under Category ‘C’ in elections to be held during the 30th Regular Session of the IMO Assembly in London between 27th November to 6th December 2017.
