The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya H.E. Dr. William Ruto during his visit to London from 7th – 8th February 2019 hosted a breakfast meeting for tour operators. The meeting was attended by Members of the African Tour and Travel Association (ATTA) and other key stakeholders. The High Commissioner of Kenya to the United Kingdom H.E Manoah Esipisu, MBS was also in attendance.
The Deputy President underscored the importance of the United Kingdom as a source market for Kenya’s tourism and thanked the travel industry for supporting the country’s efforts in an industry that was crucial to the growth of Kenya’s economy. He pointed out that the Government had invested heavily in the tourism sector and committed to redouble efforts in supporting the sector.
He urged the travel industry to assist in repackaging the Kenyan product and leverage on the niche market to contribute to the growth of numbers.
