Education Counsellor visits UK Universities ahead of Conference for Kenyan Students on 9th December

During the past few weeks our Education Counsellor Mrs. Margaret Lesuuda has been busy visiting Kenyan students at UK universities such as Birmingham University, Manchester University, Coventry University to name a few.
The major purpose of the visits was to discuss the upcoming Student Conference on December 9, 2016, in London which will be graced by Cabinet Secretary Hon. Dr Fred Okengo Matiangi , Kenya High Commissioner H.E Lazarus Amayo and other top officers from the Ministry of Education from Kenya, Kenya High Commission and UK Universities.
Other reasons for these events were to acquaint students with
• Kenya Higher Education Reforms
• Encourage them in their studies
• Remind them of their role as ‘Ambassadors’ of our country
• Address their questions and concerns
• Encouraging them to register with the Mission via the Student Registration Form in the Kenya high commission website
Students were very happy with the visit and asked various Questions some of which will be clarified more in the coming conference.
Officials of the International Offices in all these Universities also attended and we’re very welcoming and offered snacks and drinks to the students. Mrs Lesuuda thank the students for turning up and encouraged them to attend the upcoming conference as well as start Societies that can help bring together Kenyan students whenever and wherever.
