On Wednesday 11th November 2015, Umutoni Renee Thuku-Benzinge of Miss Scuba Kenya paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Jackline Yonga, the Deputy Head of Mission.
The Deputy Head of Mission was accompanied by Mr.Ibrahim Mwanjumwa, Immigration Attache’ to receive the guest.
Miss Scuba Kenya is annual beauty pageant which aims to promote marine conservation worldwide which began in 2013.
Miss Scuba Kenya is part of the Global Miss Scuba International Organisation whose head offices are in Malaysia whose major aim is to encourage people do their best to safeguard the Oceans.
Ms Umutoni was the first to be crowned Miss Scuba Kenya in 2013 and has now taken up the initiative to promote the project in Kenya.
She informed the Deputy Head of Mission of her desire to use the project to promote Kenya’s tourism, promote Marine conservation and mentor the Kenyan Youth.
